Blue Tech
& Blue Peace

Switzerland, often referred to as Europe’s water reservoir, actively promotes global access to clean water through diplomacy, innovation, and education. The “Blue Peace” initiative advocates for the use of water as a tool for peacebuilding, while “Blue Tech” highlights Swiss startups developing cutting-edge technologies for more efficient and equitable water use.

The Swiss FDFA commissioned us to create a flexible, modular exhibition system to present both initiatives in various contexts — from diplomatic events to international development forums.

Creative Direction & Execution
We designed a scalable exhibition system capable of adapting to different formats and venue constraints. The layout structure was built around flexibility — allowing content to be tailored without compromising on visual consistency or clarity.

To clearly differentiate between the two initiatives, we developed a dual color code: vibrant orange for Blue Peace, and a fresh teal for Blue Tech. This visual language was reinforced through a custom set of icons representing key themes such as sustainability, cooperation, technology, and education.

Supporting materials included infographics, scientific diagrams, and maps — all crafted to make complex information accessible and engaging for a diverse audience, ranging from policymakers to the general public.

Impact
The modularity and clarity of the design allowed the exhibition to travel easily and adapt to multiple international contexts. The distinct visual identity for each initiative reinforced the Swiss government's commitment to both innovation and diplomacy in the water sector, positioning the country as a key player in global water governance.
